You Can Watch Last Year’s Candlelight Processional While At Home

During Candlelight Processional, a celebrity would host the event and tell the story of Christmas with a choir and fifty piece orchestra. This year, unfortunately, Candlelight Processional had to be canceled.

That doesn’t mean that you can’t see Candlelight Processional this year though! You can watch last year’s Candlelight Processional on the Disney Parks Blog website. The Candlelight Processional in the video, on the Disney Parks Blog, was filmed in 2019 and the narrator is Neil Patrick Harris. Becky Cline from the Walt Disney World Archives will be sharing the history of Candlelight Processional and why so many people love it.

I have never seen Candlelight Processional before, so I am excited to be seeing it for the first time!

Celebrating Christmas At Disney Springs

Today we will be talking about all the ways that Disney Springs is now celebrating Christmas!

Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause are now at Lake Buena Vista where they are happily waving to people.

If you want to take a picture with Santa Claus you still can! At the Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs, you can take a picture in front of a virtual backdrop that has Santa Clause.

This year you are lucky enough to be seeing the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail. You can find beautifully decorated Disney Christmas trees all over the neighborhoods of Disney Springs.

In the mood for a Holiday Scavenger Hunt? Now you can do a Holiday Scavenger Hunt at Disney Springs! (Don’t worry, this scavenger hunt follows social distancing guidelines.)

Disney Springs is offering many different forms of entertainment, so you are definitely going to have a magical time while you are in Disney Springs! DJs are playing music at Waterside Stage and Exposition Park. In the evening you can watch Toy Soldier Stiltwalkers, Snowflake Skaters, and a Bell Choir. Also in the evening, while you are in Town Center and the West Side of Disney Springs, it will be snowing!!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Is Canceled This Year

Just like how Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was canceled, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas will also be canceled.

Every year at Disney Resorts you can see amazing gingerbread displays but this year you will not be able to see those displays. In Epcot, the famous Candlelight Processional will be canceled this year. A celebrity would host the event and tell the Christmas story with a choir and fifty piece orchestra.

The Candlelight Processional.

Here is a list of all the modified Christmas plans from now until December 30, 2020.

All over the Walt Disney World Resort you can see some festive decorations, themed merchandise, seasonal food, drinks, and entertainment. Each Disney park and Disney Springs are all focusing on the holidays. Santa Clause is also having special appearances.

At night, Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom has projection effects. Cinderella’s Castle changes into different designs that are rotating such as a Christmas sweater and gold, red, and green ornamentation.

Not everything is canceled. Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays and Disney Springs’ Christmas Tree display are coming back! Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays is coming back on November 27, 2020. Joyful! inside World ShowPlace and Voices of Liberty at the American Gardens Theater Stage will be returning.

Even though Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not happening this year, at least you can enjoy the Christmas decorations and more at Disney World!

You Can Now Trick-or-Treat At The Haunted Mansion Virtually!

Yes you heard that sentence correctly!

For the first time, Mars Wringly is virtually doing trick-or-treating with there app called Treat Town app. When you download this app you will be able to create a virtual door and sign up to be either a candy giver or a trick-or-treater. Candy givers can buy candy credits and let anyone including friends or family in The United States virtually trick-or-treat at their house.

This is the app.

Pretty cool right?

If you would rather be a trick-or-treater then you can virtually visit friends’ houses and receive candy. You can then redeem this candy to get ACTUAL candy.

This app will also let you be able to go trick-or-treating at The Haunted Mansion!

Now until October 31, 2020 you can virtually visit The Haunted Mansion while you are at home. You can look at characters from the ride and unlock Disney costumes. New costumes are unlocked every day so you will want to keep on the look out!

You can also virtually visit other places like M&M’s New York, M&M’s Racing, the Snickers House, and Skittles Rainbow.

I think this is a great way to enjoy Halloween without leaving your house! Happy Halloween!!

Changes To The 2020 Epcot International Food And Wine Festival

This year the 2020 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will be adjusted.

Usually, the Food and Wine Festival takes place in the fall but this year it began when Epcot reopened on July 15. (If you would like to read about what rides and entertainment are now open in Epcot click here!)

This year is the longest Food and Wine Festival, lasting from now until the fall. The best part is that Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is also happening! The newest garden edition is Remy in the France pavilion and Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt is back.

The Eat To The Beat Concert Series is a show where bands at the America Gardens Theater play their biggest hits! Unfortunately though, because of social distancing, The Eat To The Beat Concert is not making an appearance this year.

There is still music because at America Garden Theater local, Epcot entertainment is featuring Mariachi Cobre, the JAMMitors, and more.

You can choose to eat at over 20 stands around the world including Hawaii, the Islands in the Caribbean, and Hops and Barley.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will not be happening this year and if you would like to read more about that than click here!

Disney has said that changes are coming to the 2020 Epcot’s Food And Wine Festival as well as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas. I will tell you about those changes in different blog posts so keep on the look out!

A Year In Review: Everything New That Happened In Disney World Part One

2019 is almost over and I thought it would be a good idea to review everything new that happened in Disney World this past year. The list is so long that I will be making a part two.

Back in early January of 2019 Disney announced an offer for free dining! It was for stays between July 5, 2019 and September 30, 2019. You had to sign up for the free dining offer and stay for a minimum of 4 nights. You can no longer use this free dining offer, but if you are curious to learn more about the free dining offer click here!

In March Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy opened. I even was able to go on the ride back in August! Basically, Lightning McQueen teaches the next set of rookies (you) to become awesome racers but something happens! If you want to know what happens go to the ride in Hollywood Studios!

In April, Haunted Mansion started having an on-ride photo. That means that when you ride the Haunted Mansion while wearing your MagicBand a camera will take a picture of you and you will see a Haunted Mansion themed photo. Click here to learn more about that!

Also in April, Disney banned oversized strollers. They now need to be no larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. If you would like to know more about this rule click here!

In May, you could buy Mickey Bars at your local supermarket. They were delicious! They are no longer available. If you would like to see me review this delicious treat click here!

In June the parking rates for overnight guests at Disney World Resort hotels rose, prices on reusable shopping bags rose, and annual passholder prices rose.

You can learn more about the raise in parking rates here, you can learn
more about the rise in price for reusable shopping bags here, and the rise in annual passholder prices here.

So much happened from January to June!
