Which Is Better: Everglazed or Voodoo Doughnuts

I have talked about what are my favorite spinning rides in Disney World and Universal. Today, we will be discussing which is better:  Everglazed or  Voodoo Doughnuts?

Everglazed and Voodoo Doughnuts both sell doughnuts, but not your everyday doughnuts. These doughnuts have tons of cool and interesting toppings.

Everglazed is located in Disney Springs and Voodoo Doughnuts is located in City Walk at Universal Studios.

First, I will tell you about Everglazed. The doughnuts looked amazing!

I did have a big problem with the doughnuts from Everglazed, they are just too sweet. I felt like all the extra toppings were really unnecessary. My favorite doughnut was the Vanilla Iced with Sprinkles. The doughnuts were also really big and too expensive.

Voodoo Doughnuts is interesting as soon as you walk inside.

The doughnuts here were also really extravagant!

I thought these doughnuts were absolutely delicious! They were still warm when we ate them. I would recommend getting one doughnut each, so you do not eat too much.

The winner is Voodoo Doughnuts!

These doughnuts are cheaper than at Everglazed and overall I think the doughnuts are better. We have been to Voodoo Doughnuts three times and every time we have always been satisfied with our doughnuts.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Review

In Magic Kingdom, you can eat inside Cinderella’s Castle!

First, you take a picture with Cinderella and then you go upstairs where you will eat. Usually, you get to take pictures with Disney princesses while you eat but because of COVID, there were no princesses to take pictures with us while we ate.

I had Sliced Apples.

Al had Bite-sized Cheddar Cheese and Grapes from the Kids Appetizers.

My mom had the Castle Salad as her appetizer. The salad has romaine, brussel sprouts, citrus, and funnel that has a passion fruit vinaigrette.

I had the When Will My Life Begin Chicken and Pasta. This meal is for the 50th Anniversary at Disney World, so it is a limited time dish. The pasta was delicious and I especially liked the Pine Nut Pesto.

My mom had the Magic Carpet Ride. That is a spice-crusted pork tenderloin, pork belly with curry couscous, glazed carrots, and a peppercorn Flying Carpet. She liked her food.

Al had the Chicken Nuggets from the kids menu that come with a choice of two sides.

My mom had The Clock Strikes Twelve. The Clock Strikes Twelve is a dark chocolate mousse and it is served with chocolate sauce and hazelnut gelato. My mom asked for hers without a chocolate saucce.

Al had The Sword in The Sweet. That is a cookies and cream cheesecake mousse with chocolate cookie crumble topped with crispy pearls and a cookie sword. I also tried some of his dessert and I would recommend getting it.

I would give Cinderella’s Royal Table 3 Mickey Bars. The whole point of eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table is to be able to look out the windows at Magic Kingdom. We were not able to do that because we were seated in the back and we were staring at a wall the whole time while we were eating.

Contempo Cafe Review

Contempo Cafe is in Disney’s Contemporary Resort and today we will be talking about the food here!

At Contempo Cafe you can order your food and then eat it on the go. That is what we did. This is a good idea if you want to eat something from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but do not want to have a sit down breakfast.

You can even see the monorail go by!

Here is a picture of the menu:

My mom had a Blueberry Muffin. She loved her muffin.

Al and I had Cinnamon Buns. We both liked our food. I loved how much cinnamon was in mine.

I give Contempo Cafe 5 Mickey Bars!

Snacks From Around The World: Japan Edition

This is part four of my Snacks From Around The World Series. Today I will be telling you about snacks from the Japan pavilion!

The Japan pavilion has this big store called Mitsukoshi that has merchandise, anime, clothes, and snacks!

The area of the store that has snacks is Marketplace.

Here are some snacks that are in this area of the store:

There were also many different flavors of Kit Kats.

I decided to buy the Cheesecake Kit Kats.

I also bought Hello Panda Chocolate.

First, I will be reviewing the Cheesecake Kit Kats. The Kit Kats were good, but they didn’t taste like cheesecake. The Kit Kats tasted like white chocolate.

Now, let’s talk about Hello Panda! Fun Fact: Their was a time where Hello Panda was being sold internationally, but not in Japan! The reason why? We don’t know for sure. It could be because a similar snack was more popular or Hello Panda became so popular internationally that the company behind this snack, Meiji, wanted to focus on selling Hello Panda internationally instead. This was not the end for Hello Panda in Japan though. Costco opened many stores in Japan and they brought back Hello Panda!

The inside of this snack has a delicious chocolate creme.

I love how each Hello Panda has a different picture of a panda on it.

Don’t forget to go to Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion to try some delicious snacks!

Le Cellier Steakhouse Review

Le Cellier is a steakhouse that is located in the Canada pavilion.

I really like the way the inside of the restaurant looks.

First we were given three different types of bread. There was white bread, pretzel bread, and a whole wheat bread.

We were also given butter for the breads. I thought the pretzel bread was delicious and did not need butter.

My dad and I had the Le Cellier Filet Mignon with truffle-butter sauce on the side. This is the steak that made this restaurant so popular. My dad and I really like Filet Mignon, so we enjoyed our meals.

Al had Seared Salmon with carrots and green beans from the kids menu. He loved his food.

My mom also had the Le Cellier Filet Mignon except she had truffle-butter sauce on her food. She thought it was delicous.

I give Le Cellier 4 Mickey Bars! While our food was good, we were seated in the corner of the restaurant next to a wall, so I could not see anything while I was eating. Our food also took a long time to arrive.

Snacks From Around The World: The United Kingdom Edition

Today I will be talking about the snacks from  The United Kingdom pavilion! I went to a store called The Queen’s Table.

This store had a lot of different types of cookies.

This store has Chocolate Chip Shortbread Rounds.

You can also get Raspberry and White Chocolate Shortbread Cookies.

Another cookie that this store has is Scottish Shortbreads.

I bought Shortbread Rounds. Fun Fact: Shortbreads are Scottish.

The shortbread has an image of Mickey Mouse on it! These shortbreads were so good! They were nice and buttery.

Don’t forget to try Shortbread Rounds when you are in The United Kingdom pavilion!

Be Our Guest (Lunch) Review

If you have been reading my blog for a while then you know that Be Our Guest is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World! My favorite thing about this restaurant is how you can eat in Beauty and the Beast’s Castle.

You can choose to eat in either three different rooms: the Beast’s room, the ballroom, or the library. We ate in the Beast’s room.

I was curious about eating in the Beast’s room because I have eaten in both the library and the ballroom before, but never the Beast’s room. The Beast’s room does not have as much lighting as shown in these pictures because my phone lightens pictures in dark rooms automatically. I just want to warn you because if you are someone who doesn’t really like the idea of eating in the dark, then you might want to choose one of the other rooms.

This room is really cool because there is a painting of a prince, but then when you hear the sound of thunder through out the room, the picture changes to a picture of the Beast.

Picture of the prince.

You can also see the rose hidden under glass in the Beast’s room.

Now, let’s talk about the food at Be Our Guest! At Be Our Guest you are given an appetizer, entree, and a dessert trio. First, we were given bread and butter.

My appetizer was Meat and Cheese. I was not the biggest fan of it because I did not like most of the cheeses.

My parents had the Country Seasonal Salad as their appetizer.

Al’s appetizer was the Fruit and Cheese Plate from the kids menu.

For my entree I had the Center-Cut Filet Mignon. I asked for no potatoes and mushrooms. I like filet mignons, so I liked this dish.

My dad also had the Center-Cut Filet Mignon. He also thought it was really good.

My dad had Poulet Rouge Chicken. She asked for it without bread pudding. She really liked his chicken.

Al had the Pan-seared Chicken Breast from the kids menu. He enjoyed his food.

The dessert trio on the adult menu comes with a Lemon Jam Macaron, a Chocolate Tart (the Chocolate Tart has the grey stuff in it!), and a Dark Chocolate Truffle. All three of these desserts were delicious! My favorite was the Chocolate Tart because the grey stuff tasted really good. I also loved the filling in the Lemon Jam Macaron. My only problem with the Dark Chocolate Truffle was that it was too much chocolate.

The dessert trio from the kids menu comes with a macaron, grey stuff, a white chocolate cup, and a chocolate truffle. The frosting on Al’s plate is also edible.

I give Be Our Guest 5 Mickey Bars!

Space 220 Review

Space 220 is a new restaurant located in Epcot that I will be reviewing today!

Space 220 is an interesting restaurant because you feel like you are eating in outer space.

First, you go into an elevator that takes you to outer space. It’s really cool to see!

Once you have reached outer space, you walk past these spinning vegetables.

Then, you are seated in this big room that has windows that look out into outer space.

I saw astronauts floating through space!

Here is what the tables looked like.

The fork, knife, and glass were interesting shapes.

You select Lift-Offs which is an appetizer and a Star Course which is an entree. My Lift-Off was Starry Calamari. I am a big fan of calamari and these calamari were delicous!

My Star Course was Spaceghetti and Shrimp. The Spaceghetti tasted very buttery. My problem with this dish is that it was too much food.

My mom had the Centauri Caesar Salad for her Lift-Off. She thought that her meal tasted really good.

My dad had Space Greens for his Lift-Off. Space Greens is lettuce, watermelon, spiced pecans, and Apple Cider Dressing. He enjoyed it.

My parents had the Galactic Salmon and the Supreme Chicken Breast for their Star Courses. They thought it was delicious.

Al ordered from the kids menu and just had a Star Course. His Star Course was Spaceghetti. He did like it, but it was too much food for him.

The dessert that Al got was Strawberry Sorbet Scoop.

It was then time for us to go walk through the long hallway again and wait for the elevator to send us back to Earth.

The elevator sending us back to Earth.

I give Space 220 3 Mickey Bars. It is a unique experience, but after ten minutes the novelty of this restaurant wears off. I also felt like not enough things were happening in outer space. Most of the time we were just staring at darkness. I would recommend trying this restaurant once for the experience, but I think it is an only one time thing. Also, there are so many restaurants in the World Showcase that are more worth checking out than Space 220.

The Artist’s Palette Lunch Review

I already told you what it was like eating at The Artist’s Palette for breakfast and today I will be telling you what it was like eating here for lunch.

The Artist’s Palette is a quick service restaurant. That means that you order your food ahead and pick it up when it is done.

The Artist’s Palette also has tons of prepackaged food that you can buy.

I had the Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich with just ham and cheese. The bread tasted really fresh and I liked how the sandwich was still hot.

Al had the Chicken Strips with chips from the kids menu. He loved his food.

My mom and dad had Braised Meatballs. That is pork and beef meatballs that are cooked in a Pomodoro sauce with polenta, peppers, onions, and a grilled baguette. They thought it was delicious and I thought it looked really good.

The Artist’s Palette gets 5 Mickey Bars for lunch!

Snacks From Around The World: Norway Edition

This is the second part of my Snacks From Around The World series. Today I will be telling you about the snacks in the Norway pavilion!

After you ride Frozen Ever After, there is a gift store at the exit called The Wandering Reindeer. I decided to look through this store and found some snacks!

The first two snacks I found are Daim and Kariqarer. Daim is a crunchy caramel candy bar. Kariqarer is dark chocolate. Fun Fact: Daim was invented in Sweden, but is very popular in Norway.

Here is milk chocolate Kariqarer.

Here is some more Daim and Dumle. Dumle is a soft toffee covered with milk chocolate.

The next candy is called Japp. Japp has milk chocolate and the inside has cocoa meringue and caramel.

Ballerina is the next snack! This candy is filled with chocolate hazelnut cream.

I bought Kex and Troika. I will first tell you about Kex. Kex tastes a lot like a Kit Kat. I love Kit Kats, so I really enjoyed this snack.

Here is what it looks like.

Troika has tree layers: truffle chocolate, marzipan, and raspberry jelly. The outside is dark chocolate.

My favorite layer was the raspberry jelly. I also loved the dark chocolate on the outside.

I would definitely recommend trying snacks from the Norway pavilion!
