Disney World Mask Policy Gets A Big Update

Disney World keeps on changing its mask policy and the change this time is a big one!

You can temporarily take off your face masks when you are actively taking outdoor photos starting April 8, 2021. You can temporarily take off your face mask while actively eating, drinking, or taking an outdoor photo but you have to be physically distant from other people. These are the only times you are allowed to take off your face mask.

Right now, you have to keep your mask on if you take an indoor photo and during ride photos.

This is a big update because this is the first time Disney World has added a circumstance where you can temporarily take off your face mask. I will continue to tell you about changes happening around the Disney World parks!

My Top Five Favorite Live Shows In Disney World

Disney World has many amazing live shows and today I will be sharing with you my favorite ones!

This show even made my list of My Top Five Favorite Things To Do In The China Pavilion. Update: Due to the corona virus, The Jeweled Dragon Acrobats is currently closed.

4. My forth favorite live show is Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage in Magic Kingdom. You get a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story in the form of a musical. Now if this show is outside, why is it in front of The Jeweled Dragon Acrobats in my ranking? Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage has a cover and many fans that will help you stay cool. This show is great and Gaston is really funny! Update: Due to the corona virus, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage is currently closed.

2. My second favorite live show is the Festival of the Lion King show in Animal Kingdom. During this show, you sit in either the elephant, warthog, giraffe, or lion sections. The Festival of the Lion King is celebrating Simba. I really like how much dancing is in this show and you get to hear music from the movie. Update: Due to the corona virus, The Festival of the Lion King is currently closed, but it’s coming back this summer!

  1. My favorite live show in Disney World is the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! in Hollywood Studios. It is a stunt show with a lot of fire and explosions. During the show they ask for volunteers to help with stunts. You must be 18 or older to participate. There is a big surprise during the show. Face Masks Will Still Be Required In Disney World Even If You Get The COVID-19 Vaccine

If you go to Disney World right now, you are required to wear a face mask.

Disney now has said that even when you get the COVID-19 vaccine you will still need to wear a face mask. This rule is required for everyone two years old and up.

Your mask at Disney World right now has to meet certain rules. Such as:

  • Your mask must have two layers of breathable fabric
  • It has to cover your nose and mouth
  • Your mask has to fit your face comfortably
  • It needs to be secured by ties or ear loops

The only time you can take your mask off right now is if you are eating, drinking, or swimming. When you are eating, you have to be physically distant from other people.

Planning to eat at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe? Remember to be physically distant from others.

You can’t wear a costume mask at Disney World and your mask must be a fabric mask.

I will continue to keep you updated with Disney News happening in the parks!

All Four Disney World Parks Are Getting Extended Hours

All four Disney World parks are getting extended hours in the last week of January! (January 24,-30, 2021.) That means you can stay in the Disney World parks later.

Magic Kingdom’s hours will be 9 am-7pm. Before, you could only stay in Magic Kingdom from 9 am-6 pm.

Epcot’s hours will be 11 am-8 pm. Right now, the park closes at 7 pm.

Hollywood Studios will be open from 9 am to 7 pm. Hollywood Studios currently opens at 10 am.

Animal Kingdom’s hours will be 8 am-5 pm. Right now, Animal Kingdom opens at 9 am. On January 24th and 30th though, Animal Kingdom will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

If you are going to Disney World in the last week of January, you are very lucky!

Park Hopper Option Is Coming Back To Disney World On January 1st!

The Park Hopper option is currently unavailable due to the pandemic, but it is coming back!

You will be able to visit Animal Kingdom….

Starting January 1, 2021 if you purchase a ticket or annual pass with Park Hopper benefits you can visit more than one park in one day. This is great news because right now you can only visit one park in a day.

…. and finish the day visiting Epcot!

As Disney World continues its phased reopening, I will tell you about what is coming back to the Disney World parks!

Transportation To Get You To Disney World

Disney World has many types of transportation you can use to get to the parks and I will be telling you about five of them today!

You can take a Disney bus to go to the parks, your Disney resort, or Disney Springs. I have never been on a Disney bus but one cool thing about Disney buses is each one has a unique design on the outside!

Another option of transportation is a Minnie Van. Minnie Vans are just like Ubers or Lifts. I have seen Minnie Vans all through out Disney property and the outside of the cars are adorable!

If you are staying in a Disney Resort you can take the monorail to go to the Disney Parks. Even if you aren’t staying in a Disney Resort than you will still use the monorail to go back to the parking lot were your car is after being in Magic Kingdom or Epcot all day. I enjoy taking the monorail to and from Disney World because it is very relaxing.

If you are staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort you can walk to Magic Kingdom! This is great because it can take a long time to get into Magic Kingdom and walking there from The Contemporary Resort is quicker. At Disney’s Yacht Club, you can walk to Epcot.

Another way to get to the Disney parks is if you park your car in the parks parking lot, you can take the tram to get to the parks. I would recommend to take the tram rather than walking because other wise you will be doing a lot of walking. Believe me you are going to be doing enough walking in Disney World.

Have fun trying these different ways to get to Disney World!
