Big Changes Are Coming To Disney’s Contemporary Resort

First, I told you about how Disney’s Polynesian Resort is getting re-themed and today I will be telling you about the big changes currently happening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The Main Tower rooms are being re imagined causing it to now be very loud at the resort. The guest rooms are supposed to reopen in September.

The Wave… Of American Flavors is closing for refurbishment starting July 16, 2021. Disney has not announced when the restaurant will reopen.

I will keep you updated with changes happening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort Is Getting Re-Themed

A lot of changes have been happening recently in Disney World and that includes Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

The Great Ceremonial House and Guest Rooms are currently being re-themed to Moana. The colors in these rooms will be Pacific Ocean-inspired and have “details, patterns, and colors” from the movie Moana!

These rooms will be available in late July 2021. Characters like Moana can even be spotted in the room!

You can look for Hei Hei too!

Do you see Hei Hei? / Photo belongs to the Walt Disney World Company.

This artwork looks a lot like Maui’s tattoos from the movie.

The bathroom is going to have “sandy ocean floor” details.

In the Great Ceremonial House, also known as the lobby, it is going to have new gardens, fountains, lightning, and a chandelier.

The monorail station on the second floor of the resort is currently being refurbished. The old station has been removed and a new station will be in its place. This one will have bright and tropical colors.

I think that the new Moana themed rooms are going to look great!

You No Longer Need To Wear A Face Mask Outside At Disney World!

Yes, you read that correctly! You no longer need to wear a face mask outside while at Disney World.

That doesn’t mean face masks are disappearing though. You are still required to wear a face mask when entering or leaving a ride, in all theaters, all transportation, and any indoor locations.

Are you going to Main Street Bakery? Remember to put your face mask on first.

Temperature checks are also no longer required when entering the parks, resorts, or Disney Springs! Now, all you have to do to get in the parks is scan your MagicBand or use Disney MagicMobile.

This is great news because as we get closer and closer to summer it would have been very hard to keep our masks on outside in the Florida heat.

New Transportation Service Will Replace Disney’s Magical Express

Earlier this year, it was announced that the Disney Magical Express would no longer be running starting January 1, 2022.

The Magical Express was a transportation service for Disney guests staying at a Disney World Resort that would help guests get to their resort and the Orlando International Airport.

Mears, the company that operated The Magical Express transportation, said they will have their own transportation to and from Disney World. Mears will start using Mears Connect to get Disney World guests to the airport and Disney World resorts in January 2022. Reservations will be required and you can begin booking through Mears Connect starting May 2021.

The Mears Connect website.

If more information is released about this new transportation, I promise to tell you!

This Is How Disney World Is Celebrating Black History Month

February is Black History Month, so Disney World is celebrating! Keep on reading to see how Disney World Resorts and Disney Springs are celebrating Black History Month.

Photo belongs to the Walt Disney World Company.

Disney Springs is celebrating soulfully with art displays, special food, and more.

Do you like art? Well, then you are going to be happy to know that there are now four new art displays in Disney Springs! All four were inspired by the movie Soul on Disney+. The art displays were made by Black artists Bee Harris, Bianca Pastel, Arrington Porter, and Cory Van Lew. The art displays are the artists’ interpretation of the movie Soul.

On Sundays, Mondays, and Thursday evenings each week musicians are performing jazz music. Disney Springs is calling Sunday Smooth Sunday, Monday is Motown Monday, and Thursday is Jazz Thursday.

Disney Springs has special food available! At Amorette’s Patisserie you can get special desserts inspired by the movie Soul. Walt Disney Animation Studios has food inspired by The Princess and the Frog movie.

Amorette’s Patisserie

Disney Resort hotels are doing a Movies Under the Stars event all February long! This is free for guests staying at Disney Resorts. You can sit outside and watch movies celebrating Black culture like The Princess and the Frog.

The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure opened in Epcot on February 1, 2021. It will stay open beyond the end of the month. The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure is an exhibit that shows historic artifacts of famous jazz musicians and teaches you more about jazz.

If you are in Disney World make sure to go to Disney Springs, Epcot, and a Disney Resort hotel to celebrate Black History Month!

I Have A Lot Of Disney News To Share With You

A lot of changes have been happening recently in the Disney World parks and resorts and today let’s talk about it.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be redecorating their Main Tower Guest Rooms from April 2021-September 2021. Online there is limited room for Disney’s Contemporary Resort guests in April because of the construction.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

For Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, if you stay at a Disney owned resort you will be able to go into the Disney parks 30 minutes before they open. This is called Early Theme Park Entry. My advice would be to do a ride that usually has a long wait time.

I would ride Space Mountain.

The Jungle Cruise is getting a brand new story. It will have new adventures, humor, wildlife, and even new characters. I’m excited for The Jungle Cruise to be getting a new story because it is a great attraction!

On January 1, 2022 Disney World will discount Magical Express airport transportation services.

That is the free transportation that takes you from Disney World Resorts and Orlando International Airport. A Brightline train will take you from Orlando International Airport to Disney Springs. The Brightline Train is supposed to be ready in 2022.

I hope you enjoyed this Disney News list! We have a lot to look forward to for the Disney World Parks and Resorts!

2021 Has Already Brought Changes To Disney World

2021 is bringing some changes to Disney World and today let’s talk about the changes that have already begun.

Cinderella’s Castle up close.

Park Hopping returned on January 1, 2021. If you purchase a ticket or annual pass with Park Hopper benefits you can visit more than one park in one day.

You can once again visit as many parks as you want depending on the capacity. You can also only Park Hop after 2:00 pm. Disney will soon change the time for Park Hopping. You can read more about park hopping here!

Disney is now not giving guests free MagicBands . In the past, you could choose a MagicBand and the MagicBand would be shipped to your house before you went to Disney World. Now, if you have a hotel reservation you can get a discount MagicBand or link MagicBands from another Disney World trip.

MagicBands.

In the past, if you had a Disney World reservation you would get free reusable luggage tags and a Magical Extras discount card. These would be given to you before you go to Disney World.

Now, you will not get a free reusable luggage tag or Magical Extras discount card. Instead, you will get the reusable luggage tags and Magical Extras discount card at the front desk of your Disney World resort.

I will continue to keep you updated with changes happening in Disney World!

Transportation To Get You To Disney World

Disney World has many types of transportation you can use to get to the parks and I will be telling you about five of them today!

You can take a Disney bus to go to the parks, your Disney resort, or Disney Springs. I have never been on a Disney bus but one cool thing about Disney buses is each one has a unique design on the outside!

Another option of transportation is a Minnie Van. Minnie Vans are just like Ubers or Lifts. I have seen Minnie Vans all through out Disney property and the outside of the cars are adorable!

If you are staying in a Disney Resort you can take the monorail to go to the Disney Parks. Even if you aren’t staying in a Disney Resort than you will still use the monorail to go back to the parking lot were your car is after being in Magic Kingdom or Epcot all day. I enjoy taking the monorail to and from Disney World because it is very relaxing.

If you are staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort you can walk to Magic Kingdom! This is great because it can take a long time to get into Magic Kingdom and walking there from The Contemporary Resort is quicker. At Disney’s Yacht Club, you can walk to Epcot.

Another way to get to the Disney parks is if you park your car in the parks parking lot, you can take the tram to get to the parks. I would recommend to take the tram rather than walking because other wise you will be doing a lot of walking. Believe me you are going to be doing enough walking in Disney World.

Have fun trying these different ways to get to Disney World!
