Liberty Tree Tavern Review

Liberty Tree Tavern is located in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom.

The restaurant is made to look like a colonial tavern. While you are waiting for your table you can always color while you wait in the corner. Liberty Tree Tavern used to have Disney characters but not any more. When your table is ready they announce your name by saying “The Smith family from the Virginia colony!” Then everyone starts clapping. The people that work at Liberty Tree Tavern are dressed like they are from the eighteenth century.

There are six dining rooms that represent famous Revolutionary heroes: Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Paul Jones, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross and George Washington.

Last time I was there I had a cheeseburger on the adult menu. ( The kids menu is 9 and under.) It was really good! My parents at The Pilgrim’s Feast and the Colony Salad. They both liked it but what I remember most was that it was A LOT of food!

I give Liberty Tree Tavern five Mickey Bars!

Disney Opens Another Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Disney opened another Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort today. (August 6.)

What is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a place you can go to dress up like your favorite princess or prince. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is for ages 3-12.

I went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique when I was six and really enjoyed it! The Fairy Godmothers in Training get your makeup done, hair done, and you get dressed up like your favorite Disney princess.

I was dressed like Cinderella. I also wore a crown and pink sash.

It was a great experience and I would recommend going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique if you love princesses.

Now I’ll tell you about the new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at the Grand Floridian Resort.

There is a brand new Carriage Package that includes a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique purse, pink and gold Minnie Ears, Best Day Ever shirt, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique skirt.

I think this package is worth it!

After you are a princess or prince you take a picture at the Beast’s Castle backdrop. You can also take a picture even if your not going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

There are two other Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques including the one in Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom and in Disney Spring’s Marketplace.

I hope this blog post helps you better understand Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

A Beginner’s Guide to the Festival of Fantasy Parade

On my last trip to Disney World I got to see the spectacular parade!

Before we saw the parade we ate lunch at Tony’s Town Square. I would suggest going to eat lunch at Tony’s Town Square because it has a parade package. The parade package means you get a great view of the parade. Though this also means that you have to eat a full meal at Tony’s Town Square including dessert. It is a lot of food!

My advice is to eat early and to order something light. Another great thing about Tony’s Town Square is it’s right next to where the parade starts.

I would totally recommend using the parade package because you get to stand in the reserved section while everyone who didn’t use the parade package has to fight for a good spot to stand.

Here is the video of the parade in Magic Kingdom:

The Rides and Attractions That Are No Longer In Disney World Part 1

Minnie’s House!

Disney World gets rid of rides and attractions very often, usually to replace them with new ones. Here is a list of rides and attractions that I have been to that are no longer in Disney World.

Mickey’s and Minnie’s House were attractions in the Magic Kingdom when I was a toddler. You could basically walk inside and look around Mickey’s house and you could do the same with Minnie’s. It was removed to make room for the new Fantasyland.

Mickey’s Bedroom!

Maelstorm was a ride in the Norway pavilion. It was a boat ride with creepy trolls. Frozen Ever After is now where Maelstorm used to be.

Snow White’s Scary Adventure is a ride I never went on because I was little and heard the ride was very scary. Fantasyland is now where Snow White’s Scary Adventure was.

Ellen’s Energy Ride was a very slow ride in Epcot that made my dad fall asleep. You traveled back in time with Ellen and visited dinosaurs. A Guardian’s of the Galaxy ride is under construction where Ellen’s Energy Ride was.

Izzy’s Must Do Activities at Disney World! Hidden Mickey Edition

Sure Disney World has great rides but did you know they have many activities?

One of my favorite activities is looking for hidden Mickey’s. Hidden Mickey’s are basically Mickey’s head and ears that are hidden on rides, shops, and even your Disney resort! They are everywhere! Hidden Mickeys are super fun to find and add a little extra magic to your trip.

Here are just some of the Hidden Mickey’s that I have found at Disney World.

Spotted on Living with the Land!
More from Living with the Land!
As you can see, there are a lot of Hidden Mickey’s on Living with the Land!
I love this tree!

Disney Raises Prices on Reusable Shopping Bags

Disney’s reusable shopping bags are just about everywhere: the parks and the resorts. They were brought to Disney World in January and the goal of these bags was to limit plastic bag use. They currently still give you plastic bags with the purchase unless you ask for a reusable bag.

Now here is the unfortunate part. The price to buy a reusable bag was raised a dollar. At first the prices were $1.00 for a small bag, $1.50 for a medium bag, and $2.00 for a large bag. Now the prices are $2.00 for small, $2.50 for medium, and $3.00 for large.

Disney has also increased the rates to buy a Disney World Annual Pass and for overnight parking for Disney World resort guests. I will post articles on those topics later.

A Beginner’s Guide to Frontierland

Frontierland is located in Magic Kingdom and has one of my favorite rides. Here is a hint: it’s an outside roller coaster.

Big Thunder Mountain is a fun thrill ride!

Rides: Splash Mountain is a ride that is always going to get you wet. (For a Splash Mountain Review click here!) Big Thunder Mountain is one of my favorite rides. Did you guess correctly? Big Thunder Mountain has more curves than drops. Tom Sawyer Island is a great place to relax and escape the crowd. It is not a ride but the only way to get to Tom Sawyer Island is by boat. Country Bear Jamboree isn’t a ride, but it is a fun show with singing animatronic bears.

Country Bear Jamboree

Food: Golden Oak Outpost has drinks, chicken nuggets, and desserts. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has a western theme to it. It has indoor and outdoor seating.

Shopping: Briar Patch has Winnie the Pooh and Splash Mountain merchandise. Prairie Outpost and Supply has jellies and candy. Splash Court has Splash Mountain merchandise. Splashdown Photos has candy and ride photos. Trail Creek Traders has Disney character hats. Big Al’s has sunglasses, water bottles, and Disney World fans. Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is just an arcade room. There is also a General Store, Frontierland Trading Post, and Frontier Mercantile.

Prepare to get wet!

Because Frontierland has some fun rides, I find it very cool!

A Beginner’s Guide to Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is designed to look like the future! It is located in the Magic Kingdom and it is also home to my favorite ride. I will tell you what ride that is soon.

What a great view from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover!

Rides: Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a calming ride that gives you a tour of all of Tomorrowland and a great view. One time when we were on the ride it stopped working and we were stuck for 10 minutes! It was crazy! Cast members had to come and bring us to the exit. Tomorrowland Speedway is where you are allowed to drive a car even if you’re not 16! The only problem with this ride is that it smells A LOT like gas. Remember how I said that my favorite ride is in Tomorrowland? Well, I was talking about Space Mountain. (For a Space Mountain review click here!) Space Mountain is a roller coaster in the dark. Carousel of Progress is a relaxing ride for anyone and shows you how far we have come from the turn of the twentieth century. Astro Orbiter is literally on top of Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. It is basically like Dumbo, but faster and higher. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is a sit down indoor show. Your friends from Monsters, Inc. are trying to give their city electricity from your laughter. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin is a game similar to Toy Story Mania. (For a Toy Story Mania review click here!) You are basically shooting lasers and trying to take down Emperor Zurg.

The Carousel of Progress!

Food: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe has burgers, chicken, soups and salads. Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant is open seasonally. Here is a tip: the terrace has a great view of Cinderella’s Castle and it is the location for the Happily Ever After Dessert party. Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies has some delicious sundaes, smoothies, and ice cream. The Lunching Pad has pulled pork sandwiches and snacks. Joffrey’s Revive has some HUGE donuts and recently they have been selling miniature donuts.

The Astro Orbiter is really high in the sky!

Shopping: Merchant of Venus has your favorite character’s merchandise. Mickey’s Star Traders has a lot of Mickey Mouse merchandise.

Buzz!
