My Top Five Favorite Things To Do When It Is Raining In The World Showcase

In Florida it rains A LOT so when it does rain I have found some great activities to do to make the time go by in the World Showcase.

5.  The United States of America pavilion is a great place to go when it rains because they have a show called The American Adventure. This show talks about American History. Before the show starts you can listen to the Voices Of Liberty sing patriotic songs. (You should see this before the show starts if it’s raining because you are INDOORS!!) If you don’t want to hear the Voices Of Liberty you can look at the American Heritage Gallery that has American Indian art.

The Voices Of Liberty.

4. The  France pavilion has a show called Impressions De France. This show is indoors and when the show is over you walk into Les Halles Boulangerie. They sell pastries and merchandise.

This is some of the merchandise.

3. In the  China pavilion, you can watch the indoor 360 Cirle-Vision show called Reflections on China. When the show is over you don’t have to go back in the pouring rain because you walk straight into a big store called House of Good Fortune.

2. The store Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion is really big so looking at the merchandise will certainly pass the time while it rains. If you are sick of looking at merchandise you can get your passport stamped and look at the Kawaii display. (It’s all in the same building!)

  1. The best place to go when it is raining in the World Showcase is the pyramid in the  Mexico pavilion because you can walk inside the pyramid and spent a long time looking at merchandise, eating at the restaurant San Angel Inn Restaurante, and go on the boat ride Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. My favorite thing to do in the pyramid is to look at merchandise.
The inside of the pyramid.

I hope this helps you stay dry while in the World Showcase!

You Can Wear A Costume In Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party may be cancelled but in Magic Kingdom starting September 15-October 31, 2020 anyone can wear a costume.

It used to be that you could only wear a costume if you are under the age of 14. If you are 14 or older though you are still not allowed to wear a costume mask. You are still required to wear a face covering.

Disney also announced that from September 15-October 31, 2020 fall decorations and Halloween festivals will return. Mickey, Minnie, and friends will be wearing Halloween costumes, Chip N Dale will be in costumes in Frontierland, and other Disney characters will be dressed up while riding horse drawn trolleys down Main Street U.S.A.

There will also be themed treats, themed photos, and more!

My Top Five Favorite Things To Do In The Japan Pavilion

The Japan pavilion is one of my favorite pavilions to visit in Epcot.

5. My fifth favorite thing to do is look at Mitsukoshi kiosk. This little kiosk is tiny but it’s fun to look at. This kiosk sells fans, t-shirts, and Minnie Ears with the Japanese flag.

4. My fourth favorite thing to do is watch Matsuriza perform Japanese Taiko Drumming. This performance happens several times a day and you can hear the drumming from everywhere in the Japan pavilion.

3. My third favorite thing is Teppan Edo. Teppan Edo is a restaurant where the chefs cook the food in front of you. Last time I went to Teppan Edo I had Ebi, which is 10 grilled shrimp served with a garden salad, udon noodles, vegetables, and steamed white rice. All the food tasted delicious!

2. Bijutsu-kan Gallery is a display that teaches you about Kawaii, Japan’s cute culture. The display is really well made and it’s interesting to learn about how Kawaii is used.

  1. My favorite thing to do in the Japan pavilion is the ginormous store, Mitsukoshi. I could look around in that store for hours! Mitsukoshi has fans, books to help you learn Japanese, Japanese candy, and much much more! Everything in Mitsukoshi is from Japan too!

If you are going to the Japan pavilion don’t forget to try these things!

A Beginner’s Guide To Fantasyland

Fantasyland is in Magic Kingdom and is home to one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World! Fantasyland also has two different areas located inside, one is called Storybook Circus and the other one is called the Enchanted Forest.

Rides: The rides located in Storybook Circus are The Barnstormer and Dumbo The Flying Elephant.

The Barnstormer is a roller coaster made for kids because the drop isn’t that high. I really like this ride though my only complaint is that this ride is really short. (Less than a minute!) Dumbo The Flying Elephant is a fun ride where you get to ride Dumbo high in the sky and you get a great view of Magic Kingdom!

The ride in the Enchanted Forest is Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid. This ride tells you the story of the Little Mermaid.

The other rides in Fantasyland are It’s A Small World, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan’s Flight, Prince Charming Regal Carousel, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Winnie the Pooh.

On “It’s A Small World” you ride in a boat and dolls all around you sing “It’s A Small World”. The coolest part is that all the dolls are from around the world and sing in their language. Warning: This song WILL get stuck in your head!

Mad Tea Party is a ride where you sit in a large teacup and spin around and around. I have never done this ride because I don’t want to get sick.

On Peter Pan’s Flight you get to fly in the sky and fly past mermaids, London, and an epic battle between Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

Prince Charming Regal Carousel is a Cinderella themed carousel. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a roller coaster and it is really fun!

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh is a ride where you meet everyone from the Hundred Acre Woods and learn the wonderful thing about Tigger.

Entertainment: Enchanted Tales With Belle is in the Enchanted Forest and you can take part in the show! You can play the characters from the movie Beauty and the Beast. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a show where Donald Duck steals Mickey Mouse’s hat and winds up in other Disney movies!

Food: Cinderella’s Royal Table is a restaurant located inside Cinderella’s castle. While you eat, you meet Disney princesses.

Be Our Guest is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World! Located in the Enchanted Forest, you get to eat inside Beauty and the Beast’s castle and the food is really good! (You can read my review of Be Our Guest here!)

The ballroom in Beauty and the Beast’s castle.

Gaston’s Tavern in the Enchanted Forest serves Warm Cinnamon Rolls, Roasted Pork Shank, Chocolate Croissants, and many other snacks! The inside of Gaston’s Tavern is created to look just like the tavern in the movie.

Pinocchio Village Haus has seating with a view of “It’s A Small World” and through out the restaurant there are murals from Pinocchio.

Inside of Pinocchio Village Haus.

Storybook Treats serves ice cream, milkshakes, and sundaes. Cheshire Cafe also serves snacks like the Cheshire Cat Tail. The Friar’s Nook serves macaroni and cheese and hot dogs.

Shopping: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a shop where if you are a girl between the ages of 3 and 12 you can dress up as your favorite princess. Boys can be dressed up as knights. Big Top Souvenirs is where you will find Storybook Circus merchandise. I have been inside this store and it is huge!

Bonjour! Village Gifts in the Enchanted Forest sells Beauty and the Beast merchandise. Fantasy Faire is located next to Mickeys PhilharMagic and they have a big selection of Minnie Ears. Hundred Acre Woods sells Winnie The Pooh merchandise. Sir Mickey’s sells hats and snow globes. Tinker Bell’s Treasures sells princess merchandise.

Now you know about what rides, entertainment, food, and shopping are in Fantasyland!

How Disney Stays Ahead Of Its Competition

Disney does have competition and I will tell you how they stay ahead of their competition.

First off, it’s Disney’s merchandise. They always have merchandise for special events like Christmas or Halloween.

Disney also has different collections so if you have, for example, an Imagination Pink Loungefly backpack then you probably want to match with the same color pink hat, shirt, and water bottle.

The Imagination Pink collection!

The merchandise is really expensive and Disney is making a lot of money because they have the merchandise in different colors.

The Rose Gold Collection!

Another way Disney is ahead is the Cast Members. The Cast Members (the people who work in Disney World) are always friendly and in a good mood. This is not the case in other amusement parks. In Universal they have friendly people too but besides Disney World and Universal other amusement parks just do not have very friendly people. The people that work at other amusement parks always look annoyed and like they don’t want to be there. Friendly cast members are very important because if a person has a good interaction with a cast member then they will want to come back to Disney World or Universal.

Disney is also constantly updating its parks by adding new rides. If, for example, you’re a big Star Wars fan then you probably want to go to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Then you will make the long journey to Disney World and Disney gets a lot of money! While we are on the topic, Rise of the Resistance opened on December 5.

Other rides that are coming are Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Train in the spring of 2020 in Hollywood Studios, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming next summer in the France pavilion, and Beauty and the Beast Sing Along debuts January 2020.

These are a few ways that Disney stays ahead of its competition.

All The Halloween Merchandise At Disney World: Backpacks Edition

I found just two Halloween backpacks but they are so cute I just had to tell you about them!

I personally adore this sparkly candy corn backpack. (Fashion Tip: Remember when I told you about the sparkly candy corn Minnie ears? Well my tip is to buy the sparkly candy corn Minnie ears and sparkly candy corn Loungefly backpack. This way you’re matching.)

The Candy Corn backpack.

The pumpkin backpack is cute too! (Fashion Tip: You should buy this backpack and pumpkin hat to match.)

I absolutely love the Loungefly backpacks at Disney World! Matching Minnie ears, clothing, and Loungefly backpacks are the latest trend. So if you want to stay on trend BUY A LOUNGEFLY BACKPACK!

All the Halloween Merchandise At Disney World: Minnie Ears and Hats Edition

I went to Disney World in mid August and they were already selling Halloween merchandise. Here is the list of Halloween Minnie ears and hats available now.

First up is the sparkly candy corn Minnie ears. I will be completely honest with you. I love these Minnie ears. They are probably my favorite Minnie ears ever!

The witch Minnie ears.

You can also get the witch Minnie ears that are perfect for your witch costume for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. (To learn more about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party click here!) They read “Let’s get wicked!”

If you aren’t a big fan of sparkles and candy corns then you might like the Maleficent Minnie ears. Unlike the witch and candy corn Minnie ears, the Maleficent Minnie ears are available all year around.

The Maleficent Minnie ears.

If you’re more of a hat person this I’m A Monster At Heart hat might be for you. (Fashion Tip: If you get the Maleficent Minnie ears I would recommend getting the I’m A Monster At Heart hat because if it’s really hot out you might want to switch the Minnie ears for a hat.)

The I’m A Monster At Heart Hat.

Don’t forget about the Pumpkin hat. Isn’t it adorable?

The Pumpkin hat.

Well, there are all the Halloween Minnie ears and hats I spotted at Disney World! You can find all of this merchandise at all four parks.
