A Beginner’s Guide to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party started on August 16, 2019 and will end on November 1, 2019. I went to the first one this year on August 16th and can’t wait to talk to you all about it.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party starts at 7 pm, but they will start letting you in as early as 4 pm. When you arrive, cast members give you a wristband to wear. You MUST wear it or you will be kicked out at 6 pm, which is when the park closes for all other guests.

You are allowed to dress up for the party but if you’re 14 or older, you have to follow some rules.

Don’t forget that you can trick or treat at different locations in Magic Kingdom. Castmembers give you candy at each of these locations.

If you have an allergy, don’t panic. Go to a Castmember to get a teal colored treat bag. That way you get tokens that you can turn in for special treats, instead of candy.

The Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party brochure.

There are specialty foods you can get too. The Amuck, Amuck, Amuck Cupcake can be found at Main Street Bakery. It is a candy cupcake with peanut butter chips, chocolate candy bites, and toffee filled with caramel sauce, all topped with a chocolate cauldron iced with a chocolate buttercream. The Headless Horseman Cheesecake can be found at Sleepy Hollow.

It is a pumpkin mousse with chocolate cake, chocolate crunchies, orange glaze and a Headless Horseman chocolate piece. Chocolate Mickey Waffles are also available at Sleepy Hollow. It is a black chocolate Mickey Waffle with pumpkin gelato, candy corns, and a caramel sauce. Constance’s Wedding Cake was very popular. It is available at Liberty Square Popcorn cart. The Jack and Sally push pops can be found at snack carts near Cinderella’s Castle. The Pumpkin Spice Milkshake at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies looks so good! It is a pumpkin spice flavored milkshake with candy pumpkins and a Mickey Straw. The Pumpkin Spice Soft-Serve Sundae is also at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.

Some rides have Halloween party overlays too. On Space Mountain, it’s even darker and it plays spooky music.

On Pirates of the Caribbean, real life pirates are on the ride.

Madame Carlotta outside of Haunted Mansion.

Haunted Mansion did not change inside but outside you can see Madame Carlotta, Madame Rinotta, and Butler Broome. Here is a video of Madame Carlotta and Butler Broome.

If you liked this video, don’t forget to go to my DisneywithIzzy channel on YouTube and give me a thumbs up and subscribe! Subscribing means you get to know when I post a new video!

Don’t forget to check out the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade at 9:15 pm and 11:15 pm. There is also a Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and special Halloween fireworks.

Have fun at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Happy Halloween!

San Angel Inn Review

San Angel Inn Restaurante is located in the Mexico pavilion in the World Showcase at Epcot. (For a review of the Mexico pavilion click here!)

The best thing about San Angel Inn is that you get a great view of the boat ride, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros .

The only problem with this restaurant is that it’s really dark so the pictures may not be really bright.

Before you get your food the waiter brings you chips and salsa.

I got the Queso Fundido. This is melted cheese topped with peppers, onions, and chorizo with flour tortillas on the side. Chorizo is a type of pork sausage. IT’S REALLY GOOD!! I would recommend getting this.

The tortillas were underneath.

My brother got the cheese quesadilla on the kids menu. He really liked it. It also came with fruit and corn.

My dad got Tacos al Pastor. Tacos al Pastor is grilled pork with peppers and onions served with corn or flour tortillas. He said it was delicious.

My mom got the Pollo A Las Rajas. Pollo A Las Rajas is grilled chicken breast served over garlic potatoes with red peppers, corn and onions in a cream sauce, chipotle rice, cilantro oil and queso fresco. My mom thought it was okay but too creamy.

I give San Angel Inn 4 Mickey Bars!!

A Beginner’s Guide to Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration

Mickey Mouse turned 90 back in November and now you can celebrate with him from now until September 30, 2019.

From themed treats, where to meet Minnie and Mickey together in their celebration clothes, and more, we have a lot to talk about.

Goofy!

First, let’s talk about the Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It! Street Party. This parade goes from the front of the park to Cinderella’s castle. The best part is getting to see the characters all dressed up.

Daisy Duck!

If you want to join in the dancing then you should go in front of Cinderella’s castle where the parade stops.

You can also get limited edition treats too! At Casey’s Corner you can get the Celebration Brownie. This is a brownie that tastes very fudgy. It’s really good!

Over at The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, you can get the Minnie Kitchen Sink. It has ice cream, whipped cream, and two cherries. You can also keep the “sink” that the ice cream comes in.

Okay! You can now see Mickey and Minnie TOGETHER in their celebration clothes at Town Square theater. So GO SEE THEM!!!

You can also get the Mickey Sipper Cup at Casey’s Corner.

The Mickey Sipper Cup.

I hope this guide is helpful!

Limited Edition Lion King Treats at Disney World

Lion King themed treats have popped up in Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Here is a list of some of them.

The Lion Paw Cookie is a large cookie that tastes like a sugar cookie with frosting. This cookie can be found at just about every ice cream cart in Animal Kingdom. This delicious cookie is big so you might want to share it with your family.

The Lion King Cupcake is a yellow cake filled with white chocolate mousse. It even has an edible picture of Simba on it with yellow and orange icing. You can get this cupcake at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom.

The Lion King Cake is an almond and chocolate cake with amarula mousse, pineapple jam, and also chocolate covered potato chips. This cake is really good! It can be found at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.

Those are some of the Lion King treats at Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Enjoy!

Kringla Bakeri og Kafe Review

Kringla Bakeri og Kafe is a Norwegian bakery located in the Norway pavilion.

I just came back from a trip to Disney World and went to Kringla Bakeri og Kafe for the first time! Did I like it? Keep reading to find out!

Here is the menu.

If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat I would recommend heading to Kringla Bakeri og Kafe. This bakery has cupcakes, Kringla (pretzels), cookies, cheesecake, and more.

This cookie looks HUGE!!

I tried the School Bread. This is a sweet roll with a custard filling and dipped in coconut.

The delicious School Bread!

If you eat the sweet roll, custard, and coconut all together it tastes really good! If you just eat a piece of the bread though it’s dry. I would recommend getting the School Bread.

The inside of the School Bread.

In Norway, School Bread was packed in school lunches for dessert or was sold at bake sales. That’s how it got its name.

My brother got the Springtime Lemon Cheesecake.

The Springtime Lemon Cheesecake!

Cheesecake is my favorite dessert so I LOVED it! My brother liked it to. We would also recommend this dessert especially if you love cheesecake.

My dad got the Almond Kringla. He said it was really good but it was dry so you should get something to drink with it.

The Almond Kringla!

I give Kringla Bakeri og Kafe 5 Mickey bars.

So many choices!

Liberty Tree Tavern Review

Liberty Tree Tavern is located in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom.

The restaurant is made to look like a colonial tavern. While you are waiting for your table you can always color while you wait in the corner. Liberty Tree Tavern used to have Disney characters but not any more. When your table is ready they announce your name by saying “The Smith family from the Virginia colony!” Then everyone starts clapping. The people that work at Liberty Tree Tavern are dressed like they are from the eighteenth century.

There are six dining rooms that represent famous Revolutionary heroes: Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Paul Jones, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross and George Washington.

Last time I was there I had a cheeseburger on the adult menu. ( The kids menu is 9 and under.) It was really good! My parents at The Pilgrim’s Feast and the Colony Salad. They both liked it but what I remember most was that it was A LOT of food!

I give Liberty Tree Tavern five Mickey Bars!

UniversalwithIzzy: Hot Dog Hall of Fame Review

Hot Dog Hall of Fame is one of my favorite places to eat in Universal.

It has only outdoor seating with a big TV.

The TV!

I always get the foot long. It’s so delicious and long!

Yum!

What I find cool about Hot Dog Hall of Fame is how some of the Hot Dogs are inspired by different states.

I would recommend going to Hot Dog Hall of Fame if you love hot dogs.

Here are some additional pictures:

Here is the Hot Dog Hall of Fame menu.

A Beginner’s Guide to Frontierland

Frontierland is located in Magic Kingdom and has one of my favorite rides. Here is a hint: it’s an outside roller coaster.

Big Thunder Mountain is a fun thrill ride!

Rides: Splash Mountain is a ride that is always going to get you wet. (For a Splash Mountain Review click here!) Big Thunder Mountain is one of my favorite rides. Did you guess correctly? Big Thunder Mountain has more curves than drops. Tom Sawyer Island is a great place to relax and escape the crowd. It is not a ride but the only way to get to Tom Sawyer Island is by boat. Country Bear Jamboree isn’t a ride, but it is a fun show with singing animatronic bears.

Country Bear Jamboree

Food: Golden Oak Outpost has drinks, chicken nuggets, and desserts. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has a western theme to it. It has indoor and outdoor seating.

Shopping: Briar Patch has Winnie the Pooh and Splash Mountain merchandise. Prairie Outpost and Supply has jellies and candy. Splash Court has Splash Mountain merchandise. Splashdown Photos has candy and ride photos. Trail Creek Traders has Disney character hats. Big Al’s has sunglasses, water bottles, and Disney World fans. Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is just an arcade room. There is also a General Store, Frontierland Trading Post, and Frontier Mercantile.

Prepare to get wet!

Because Frontierland has some fun rides, I find it very cool!

Teppan Edo Review

At Teppan Edo, the chefs cook right in front of you!

On my last trip to Disney World we went to Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion. (To learn more about the Japan Pavilion click here!)

You sit with another family as the chef cooks in front of you. It’s really cool to see the chef cook the food!

The volcano!

I had Ebi. Ebi is 10 grilled shrimp served with a garden salad, udon noodles, vegetables, and steamed white rice. For the full menu, click here.

Everything was delicious and I love watching the chefs cook. I give Teppan Edo five Mickey Bars!!

Hope you are hungry!

If you are going to visit the Japan Pavilion, don’t forget to visit Teppan Edo!

Limited Edition Mickey Bars!!!!

You heard me correctly! You can now buy Mickey Bars at your local supermarket!! I found a whole aisle of these Mickey Bars. This is the first time that you can buy Mickey Bars outside of Disney property.

Now let’s review the treat! I did notice that these Mickey Bars are smaller than the ones at Disney World, but that’s OK. Just as a reminder, Mickey Bars have frozen vanilla ice cream with a hard chocolate shell on the outside shaped like Mickey’s face and ears. These are delicious and taste like they do at the parks.

The Mickey Bars are in the supermarkets for a limited time, so grab them quickly!

Want to know what other Mickey food you can get for a limited time? Check out some of my earlier blogs!
