What I Pack For My Disney Parks Bag

Back in 2018, I posted a blog article on Things You Need For Your Disney Bag. I am going to Disney World really soon so I thought it would be a great idea to tell you what I have in my Disney bag when I am in the parks!

My favorite Disney backpack is this Purple Loungefly Backpack. Loungefly Backpacks are really popular in Disney World and you will find a lot of people wearing them.

I am going to wear a hat in the parks so I have my Donut Minnie Ears in my backpack just in case I want to switch to my Minnie Ears while in the parks.

I have The Hidden Mickeys of Walt Disney World book in my backpack so I can look for Hidden Mickeys.

I am going to bring my PinFolio bag with me. PinFolio is a tiny bag that you can put your pins in by pushing them in. I prefer to put my pins for pin trading in the PinFolio bag than on a lanyard because I have lost a lot of pins because they just fall of the lanyard. If you are planning to do Pin Trading in Disney World then you should definitely get PinFolio.

I always bring a fan with me to Disney World. We always go to Disney World in the summer so it is always REALLY HOT! I would recommend getting a handheld fan than a battery operated fan because it is easier to carry. Battery operated fans also leak a lot. I bought my handheld fan from the Japan pavilion. The woman at the cashier wrote my name on the side of the fan in Japanese! The Japan pavilion has a great selection of fans.

I am also bringing a mask with me every day in the parks this trip due to the pandemic. I would strongly recommend to bring masks with you if you are planning to go to Disney World this year.

Even though it isn’t required to wear a face mask if you are fully vaccinated in Disney World, you should still bring masks just in case.

On the outside pocket of my backpack, I always bring an umbrella with me. When you are in Florida, there is always a chance it might rain. That is why I would REALLY recommend bringing an umbrella with you.

Attached to the zipper of my backpack is a Minnie Mouse hand sanitizer key chain. I always recommend bringing hand sanitizer with you because you might not have time to wash your hands in the bathroom before every meal.

I hope now you know what to pack for your Disney Parks bag!

Izzy’s Must Do Activities at Disney World! Hidden Mickey Edition

Sure Disney World has great rides but did you know they have many activities?

One of my favorite activities is looking for hidden Mickey’s. Hidden Mickey’s are basically Mickey’s head and ears that are hidden on rides, shops, and even your Disney resort! They are everywhere! Hidden Mickeys are super fun to find and add a little extra magic to your trip.

Here are just some of the Hidden Mickey’s that I have found at Disney World.

As you can see, there are a lot of Hidden Mickey’s on Living with the Land!

Haunted Mansion Review

What I Like About It

The names are part of the fun!

Haunted Mansion is located in Magic Kingdom and is my mom’s favorite ride. There is a short pre-show before the ride which can be a bit scary for little kids (because the lights go out). After that, you get on a buggy. The ghosts on the ride are looking for another ghost to join them. You get to explore the mansion and hopefully get out alive (I am kidding!) The ride takes you everywhere from the attic to the basement. At the end of the ride a creepy girl says “Hurry back, hurry back.” My mom has a Haunted Mansion mug with the same words on the bottom.

There are a lot of funny things to look at outside.

What I Don’t Like About it

If you’re like me, you get scared on the ride. It’s okay and you are not alone. If you get scared, here is an idea that can make you feel better. There are tons of hidden Mickey’s on the ride. Finding hidden Mickey’s will remind you that the ride is not real.

SCAAARRRYYYYY!!!!!

A Beginner’s Guide to the World Showcase: Spotlight on Morocco

Morocco is another cool pavilion to visit. They have awesome food, shopping, and entertainment.

Chicken and Beef Skewers for me, chicken nuggets and fries for my brother.

Food: You can take a boat ride through the pavilions and one of the stops is in Morocco. Once you get out of the boat, on your left is the Spice Road Table restaurant. You can sit inside or outside. I prefer to sit outside because you can watch the boats coming in and going out. Last time we went to Spice Road Table I had the Chicken and Beef Skewers. They are delicious! My parents had the Lamb Sliders with Hummus Fries. They loved it! The other table service restaurant is called Restaurant Marrakesh. I don’t know the restaurant well since the last time I went I was two. My parents did tell me there was belly dancing and the food was good.

Marketplace in the Medina.

Shopping: Morocco has lots of jewelry and clothing from Morocco. There is also a shopping area called Marketplace in the Medina.

Entertainment: Morocco has a band called Musique Aramenco that performs. You can also take a picture with Jasmine and sometimes Aladdin. Don’t forget to be on the lookout! Morocco also has some hidden Mickeys lying around.

Don’t forget to get your passport stamped!

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Disney’s Yacht Club. The Pirate Ship Slide is on the right!

On my last trip to Disney World I stayed at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.  This is now one of my favorite hotels!  Around the hotel there are hidden Mickey’s.  Keep on the look out!

The view from our room.

One of the reasons I liked it so much is that while at the Yacht Club it still felt like I was in a Disney Park.  The people who work at the resort are dressed like Captains.  Outside, there is a tall pirate ship shaped slide that goes REALLY FAST!!!  I really like the pools because there is sand on the bottom.  If you fall, you will not hit the cement.

Another one of my favorite things about the resort is that it is walking distance to Epcot.  And at night you can see the fireworks from the balcony!

The great view of the Epcot fireworks from our balcony!

Across from the hotel is a boardwalk area with restaurants, games and shows.  It is also walking distance to Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course.

Dinosaur Ride Review

Height Restriction: Must be 40 inches

What I Like About It

Dinosaur is a ride at Animal Kingdom with many scary dinosaurs.  The ride is exciting and lots of fun.  The goal is to find the Iguanadon dinosaur to bring it back with you, but everything goes wrong.  There is also a hidden Mickey at the beginning of the ride.

HOLD TIGHT!

What I Don’t Like About It

The ride jerks around A LOT.  Even though you have a seat belt it still is very jumpy.  Hold the bars or a parent.
