A Beginner’s Guide to March of the First Order

March of the First Order is basically when the stormtroopers from Star Wars, led by Captain Phasma, march around Hollywood Studios.

During other parts of the day, I enjoy when the stormtroopers walk by and talk to you. They sometimes say things like, “There is no order without the First Order!”

While the stormtroopers and Captain Phasma walk by, scary First Order music plays. They march around several times a day.

I just found out that the March of the First Order is no longer going on at Hollywood Studios and the stormtroopers are being moved to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Below is a video of March of the First Order from one of our trips.

Izzy’s Must Do Activities at Disney World! Jedi Training Edition

The badge they gave me at the end of Jedi Training!

Another one of my must do activities at Disney World is Jedi Training. Jedi Training is a Star Wars themed show in Hollywood Studios that you can take part in. They train you how to us a lightsaber and in the end you get to fight a Sith and you get badge. ( For more information on Jedi Training click here!) Jedi Training is only for kids between 4-12 and you have to sign up for it before you do it. I recommend getting there early.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Updates

We have some Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge updates for you!!

First off, you will be able to hear Yoda in Black Spire Outpost! The Play Disney Parks app will become a Star Wars datapad while you are in Batuu. (For more information on the Play Disney Parks app, click here!) The four key functions will be a Hacking Tool (helps interact with droids), a Translating Device to help translate Aurebesh (the written language in Star Wars), a Tuning Tool so you can eavesdrop on satellite transmissions, and a Scanning Device. The Outpost Control game will show your loyalty to either the Resistance or the First Order.

Do you know the story of how RX-24 became the DJ at Oga’s Cantina? I’ll tell you! RX-24 first flunked out of Star Tours, (for a Star Tours review click here!) then he found his way to the Battle of Jakku. He crashed on Batuu from a TIE Fighter chase and became the DJ at Oga’s Cantina.

Don’t forget that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens August 29 in Hollywood Studios!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Opening Dates

Recently the Walt Disney Company announced the opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Hollywood Studios! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios on August 29 and in Disneyland on May 21. I can’t wait for it to open!

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will be open on August 29 in Hollywood Studios but Rise of the Resistance will not and will open later this year. In Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run you will get to be the pilot of the Millennium Falcon! The height restriction for this ride is 38 inches. When Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens, the height restriction will be 40 inches.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will also have Star Wars themed restaurants and shopping. There will be five restaurants or food stands, such as Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Kat Saka’s Kettle, Milk Stand (serving blue and green milk!), Oga’s Cantina and Ronto Roasters. There will be multiple shopping areas, such as Droid Depot(where you can build your own droid!), Savi’s Workshop (where you can build your own lightsaber!), Toydarian Toymaker, Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, Creature Stall and Black Spire Outfitters.

So far Disney World has not given a lot of information yet. Stay tuned for more Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge information here at DisneywithIzzy!

Jedi Training

Darth Vader and Kylo Ren!

Jedi Training is a  Star Wars show at Hollywood Studios that you can be a part of and you even get to wear a Jedi robe!  Only kids between the ages of four and twelve are allowed to participate and attempt to complete the Trials of the Temple.

My little brother fought Darth Vader when he was 4!

To complete the Trials of the Temple, you will be trained as a Jedi and then must fight a Sith with a lightsaber.  The Jedi Masters instruct you how to use your lightsaber and teach you how to fight the Sith.  It’s really fun!

Get out of my head!

On my last two Disney World trips I had to go against Kylo Ren and last year I had to fight Darth Vader.  Kylo Ren was trying to use the force on me to read my mind! It was scary!  Once everyone is done dueling you take off your Jedi robes and get a badge.  Most recently they gave me a water bottle afterwards, which helps in the summer time.  This is a super fun and exciting activity!

Star Tours Review

Height Restriction: Must Be 40 Inches

What I Like About It

Star Tours is a ride at Hollywood Studios based on Star Wars.  You and C3PO have to escape from Darth Vader or the First Order.  Oh no!  They are looking for the rebel spy on your ship (they flash a picture of a random person on the ride who is the “rebel”).  Every time you go on Star Tours it’s different, meaning that if you first saw Darth Vader, the next time your ride you might see the First Order.

C3PO!

What I Don’t Like About It

When the doors open for you to exit, the other doors for the people to get on the ride open too.  If you’re getting off the ride, you can feel stressed and rushed, especially if you have had to store your bag underneath the seat and you have to get it out.  It will be okay!  If you hold up the line, it is not the end of the world.
