This Animal Kingdom Show Was… Interesting

At Animal Kingdom you can choose to watch a number of different shows. These shows include 3D shows like It’s Tough To Be A Bug! and this also includes live shows like Feathered Friends In Flight!

Feathered Friends In Flight! is a live show in Asia where animal behavior specialists show you how they train different types of birds.

I am going to be honest with you, I have walked past Feathered Friends In Flight! many times and I have never felt the urge to see it. I was mostly freaked out by the fact that these birds would be flying over my head, but on my last trip to Disney World I decided to try it.

The beginning of the show was ok. The two animal behavior specialists came out, introduced themselves, and we saw different types of birds flying around.

After that though was when things started going downhill. One of the birds broke one of the specialists mics. At first, I thought it was just apart of the show, but after a while I realized it was not. The specialist had to leave for a while to get a new mic and everything after that was really awkward.

The other specialist was still there and was trying to show that a certain bird can talk. Unfortunately, the bird was not cooperating and would not say anything other than “Hi”.

I was pretty disappointed because I had really wanted to hear the bird say something.

After that the other specialist came back with a new mic and the show continued. We saw more birds and birds flew over our heads.

I was kind of scared because there was one bird that was from another show that was sitting just above all of us and squeaking at all of us. There was a lot going on.

Now the real question is: would I recommend going to see this show?

Not really. I was pretty happy to leave. The show was unorganized, the birds were not cooperating, and the jokes were not making people laugh. If you really like birds then I would say give it a try, but do not say I did not warn you.
