Disney Springs is celebrating soulfully with art displays, special food, and more.

Do you like art? Well, then you are going to be happy to know that there are now four new art displays in Disney Springs! All four were inspired by the movie Soul on Disney+. The art displays were made by Black artists Bee Harris, Bianca Pastel, Arrington Porter, and Cory Van Lew. The art displays are the artists’ interpretation of the movie Soul.

On Sundays, Mondays, and Thursday evenings each week musicians are performing jazz music. Disney Springs is calling Sunday Smooth Sunday, Monday is Motown Monday, and Thursday is Jazz Thursday.

Disney Springs has special food available! At Amorette’s Patisserie you can get special desserts inspired by the movie Soul. Walt Disney Animation Studios has food inspired by The Princess and the Frog movie.

Disney Resort hotels are doing a Movies Under the Stars event all February long! This is free for guests staying at Disney Resorts. You can sit outside and watch movies celebrating Black culture like The Princess and the Frog.

The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure opened in Epcot on February 1, 2021. It will stay open beyond the end of the month. The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure is an exhibit that shows historic artifacts of famous jazz musicians and teaches you more about jazz.

If you are in Disney World make sure to go to Disney Springs, Epcot, and a Disney Resort hotel to celebrate Black History Month!

Face Masks Will Still Be Required In Disney World Even If You Get The COVID-19 Vaccine

If you go to Disney World right now, you are required to wear a face mask.

Disney now has said that even when you get the COVID-19 vaccine you will still need to wear a face mask. This rule is required for everyone two years old and up.

Your mask at Disney World right now has to meet certain rules. Such as:

  • Your mask must have two layers of breathable fabric
  • It has to cover your nose and mouth
  • Your mask has to fit your face comfortably
  • It needs to be secured by ties or ear loops

The only time you can take your mask off right now is if you are eating, drinking, or swimming. When you are eating, you have to be physically distant from other people.

Planning to eat at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe? Remember to be physically distant from others.

You can’t wear a costume mask at Disney World and your mask must be a fabric mask.

I will continue to keep you updated with Disney News happening in the parks!

Celebrating Christmas At Disney Springs

Today we will be talking about all the ways that Disney Springs is now celebrating Christmas!

Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause are now at Lake Buena Vista where they are happily waving to people.

If you want to take a picture with Santa Claus you still can! At the Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs, you can take a picture in front of a virtual backdrop that has Santa Clause.

This year you are lucky enough to be seeing the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail. You can find beautifully decorated Disney Christmas trees all over the neighborhoods of Disney Springs.

In the mood for a Holiday Scavenger Hunt? Now you can do a Holiday Scavenger Hunt at Disney Springs! (Don’t worry, this scavenger hunt follows social distancing guidelines.)

Disney Springs is offering many different forms of entertainment, so you are definitely going to have a magical time while you are in Disney Springs! DJs are playing music at Waterside Stage and Exposition Park. In the evening you can watch Toy Soldier Stiltwalkers, Snowflake Skaters, and a Bell Choir. Also in the evening, while you are in Town Center and the West Side of Disney Springs, it will be snowing!!

Phased Reopening Of Disney Springs Information

Disney Springs reopened on May 20. I am going to tell you the safety measures Disney Springs will now be taking. The Disney World parks and Disney hotel resorts are still closed though.

You are required to wear a face covering if you are ages 3 and up. (If you are reading this I am pretty sure you are older than 3.) All the face coverings should:

  • Fully cover your mouth and nose and let you remain hands-free
  • Fit comfortably and snugly against the side of your face
  • Be secured by either ties or ear loops
  • Your face covering should be made of breathable material and either disposable or reusable

You are NOT allowed to wear a costume mask. You will also have to go through a temperature screening. If your temperature is 100.4 F or above you will not be allowed into Disney Springs and your family will not be allowed in either.

Disney Springs will now be increasing cleaning and disinfecting in public elevators, handrails, benches, tables, handles, restaurants, and more. Hand sanitizer and hand-washing locations will also be available.

Ground markings will help proper physical distancing when queuing is needed. You can also now not park in the Grapefruit garage and all the surface parking lots will be closed.

This may seem like a lot but Disney Springs is doing this so you can stay healthy. If you would like to learn more about Disney Springs reopening phase click here: https://www.disneysprings.com/reopening/

What I Recommend To Do If You Are Stuck At Home Due To The Coronavirus

My school is closed for two weeks due to the coronavirus and if you are like me suddenly you have a lot of free time and don’t know what to do at home.

What I recommend to do is watch Disney+!

I know I keep on talking about Disney+ but watching TV keeps your mind off depressing things. If you would like to see what shows I would recommend to watch on Disney+ click here! A couple days ago Frozen 2 was added to
Disney+ too, so if you never got to see the movie in the movie theater (like me) now you have a chance to watch it with no commercials!

If you are not a fan of older Disney movies then you will still like Disney+ because it has new movies and Disney+ original movies and shows. If you started a Disney+ original show then new episodes come out on Fridays.

The many categories in Disney+.

If you do like old Disney movies Disney+ has that too.

Another thing I would recommend doing is to keep on reading my blog. I promise to post new content and you can always look at my older articles too. I have 14 pages of blog posts. That will take you a while to read!

While you are stuck at home, binge watch Disney+!

Disney Transportation and Disney Springs Will Close Temporarily Due to The Coronavirus

Unfortunately Disney transportation and Disney Springs will be closed because of the Coronavirus.

Disney transportation will be suspended starting on March 18, 2020 until the end of the month.

All stores and restaurants in Disney Springs will TEMPORARILY close on March 17, 2020.

Everything in Disney Springs will be closed.

All Disney Resorts will also close on March 20, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Now this is the last depressing article I am going to do. I promise the next articles will be more positive and happy!

Disney World Will Be Closed Due To The Coronavirus

Disney World has announced they will be closed due to the Coronavirus.

Cinderella’s Castle up close.

Disney World will close on Monday, March 16th and will stay closed until the end of the month. Resort hotels, Disney Springs, and Disney World Golf Courses will remain open though.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort will stay open.

If you had a ticket for a date on or before March 31, 2020 than you will be able to change that date through December 15, 2020.

The Tree of Life.

Now what about Disney After Hours, Disney Villains After Hours, and Disney Early Morning Magic? They will be automatically refunded for dates March 16, 2020-March 31, 2020.

If you are an Annual Passholder, Disney will extend your expiration date by 15 days. Click on this link for more information from Disney’s website.

My question is what will happen to Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival?

The Edison Review

The Edison is a restaurant located in Disney Springs.

The restaurant plays old shows that are black and white all over the walls with a projector. It is actually really cool and makes The Edison unique.

I decided to get the pot of macaroni and cheese on the kid’s menu. If you are not very hungry or just don’t eat a lot of food, I would recommend getting the macaroni and cheese on the kid’s menu because then you do not waste a ton of food.

They give you the macaroni and cheese in a pot!

I also had a salad.

I ate some fruit too.

My mom had Oh Bacon Baked Mac and Cheese from the adult menu. It is made with crispy maple black pepper bacon baked with cavatappi pasta, melted fontina, muenster, cheddar, and alpine Swiss. Her macaroni and cheese was DELICIOUS but GINORMOUS! It was too much food.

My dad also had macaroni and cheese but his was called Swine and Cheese Baked Mac and Cheese. His dish was the same as my mom’s except that it had 24-hour slow-roasted hand-pulled BBQ pork shoulder instead of bacon. He said that he liked my mom’s macaroni and cheese with bacon better, his was a little dry. My dad also agrees with my mom that it was way too much food. They both had a lot of food left over.

My brother had a grilled cheese sandwich with french fries from the kids menu. He thought it was delicious.

If you would like to order anything on the adult menu for dessert here is the menu.

My meal came with a choice of either a free chocolate chip cookie or vanilla ice cream. I ate the chocolate chip cookie and it was good.

My brother’s meal also came with a free dessert so he decided to get vanilla ice cream.

I give The Edison 4 Mickey bars!!

The Edison has 4 Mickey bars because my parents had WAY too much food. Besides that though everything else was fine.

Everything New That Is Coming To Disney World In 2020!

Happy New Years everybody! Can you believe it’s 2020? I can’t!

Disney World is bringing new restaurants, shows, and more in 2020!

First off, to me this news is just awesome, a new M&M store is coming to Disney Springs! How cool is that!?! The new M&M store will take the place of Curl and Fit2Run stores.

In early 2020 a new restaurant called Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will be coming to Epcot. Disney has said that this restaurant will be a modern barbecue with a smoker preparing food and a redesigned patio.

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will be coming to the France pavilion on January 17, 2020. This new sing along will be similar to For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along that is in Hollywood Studios. (If you would like to learn about For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along click here.)

Also happening on January 17, 2020, both Canada and China will have new Circle-Vision 360 shows. Canada’s show will be named “Canada Far and Wide.” China’s new show will be named “Wondrous China”.

A new show is coming to the land pavilion on January 17 called “Awesome Planet”. This new show will have nature photography, theater effects, and space sequences.

In February a new restaurant will be coming to Epcot. Gosh! Epcot is getting a lot of changes! The new restaurant will be named Space 220 and will be located between Mission: Space and Test Track. I am really excited to see this new restaurant because I really like space and in Space 220 you are able to see space from your table!

Construction of Space 220 back in August!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be open in Hollywood Studios on March 4. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be inside the Chinese Theater. You will get to be put in the world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon with new technology called 2 1/2 D.

Another attraction expected to come to Hollywood Studios in March is Mickey Shorts Theater. It will take the place of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi theater. Mickey Shorts Theater will have short film just like the show Mickey Mouse on Disney Channel.

On April 17 in Disney Springs, Draw To Life will open. Draw To Life will celebrate the art of animation. It will follow a girl named Julie who tries to finish an unfinished animation piece.

The Swiss Family Treehouse will be closed for refurbishment from April 27-May 3, 202o.

Big Thunder Mountain will also be closing for a refurbishment from May 4-21.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming to the France pavilion in the summer. It will be like the ride in Disneyland Paris with a trackless track. The ride will be Ratatouille themed.

Authentic Creperie is also coming to the France pavilion near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the summer. The restaurant will have sweet and savory crepes. It can have a quick-service and table service dining option.

HarmonioUS will be a nighttime show coming this year (we do not know when in 2020). Disney says it will be “a worldwide celebration of Disney music.”

A new resort will be located in the Boardwalk area. It will be called The Cove. It is mostly focused on being for conventions and being group oriented.

Okay, who else is excited for 2020!?!
