Physical Distancing At Disney World Gets An Update

Disney World has had a lot of changes happening recently at the parks including not having to wear a face mask outside while in the parks. Temperature checks are gone and social distancing measures have been reduced.

Disney World has changed their physical distancing rules on their website for restaurants and stores.

Disney World’s website says “adjustments are still in place to promote physical distancing”. Before, the website said guests have to be 6 feet apart. Signs in Disney World are also starting to not say stand 6 feet apart from other people.

I think now that most adults and now some kids have taken the COVID 19 vaccine Disney World can start being a little less cautious about their rules.

More Information About Mears Transportation

I have told you before how Disney Magical Express would be replaced by Mears Transportation starting January 1, 2022.

Disney Magical Express was a transportation service for Disney guests staying at a Disney World Resort that would help guests get to their resort and the Orlando International Airport, but it will be ending in 2022. In Jaunary 2022, Mears Transportation will replace Disney Magical Express.

Reservations are required and you could start booking reservations starting May 2021, but I noticed recently that the date you can start booking reservations has been pushed back to Summer 2021.

The Mears Connect Website.

Mears Connect is still supposed to launch in January 2021 and you can sign up to get notified when reservations open.

Big Changes Are Coming To Disney’s Contemporary Resort

First, I told you about how Disney’s Polynesian Resort is getting re-themed and today I will be telling you about the big changes currently happening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The Main Tower rooms are being re imagined causing it to now be very loud at the resort. The guest rooms are supposed to reopen in September.

The Wave… Of American Flavors is closing for refurbishment starting July 16, 2021. Disney has not announced when the restaurant will reopen.

I will keep you updated with changes happening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort Is Getting Re-Themed

A lot of changes have been happening recently in Disney World and that includes Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

The Great Ceremonial House and Guest Rooms are currently being re-themed to Moana. The colors in these rooms will be Pacific Ocean-inspired and have “details, patterns, and colors” from the movie Moana!

These rooms will be available in late July 2021. Characters like Moana can even be spotted in the room!

You can look for Hei Hei too!

Do you see Hei Hei? / Photo belongs to the Walt Disney World Company.

This artwork looks a lot like Maui’s tattoos from the movie.

The bathroom is going to have “sandy ocean floor” details.

In the Great Ceremonial House, also known as the lobby, it is going to have new gardens, fountains, lightning, and a chandelier.

The monorail station on the second floor of the resort is currently being refurbished. The old station has been removed and a new station will be in its place. This one will have bright and tropical colors.

I think that the new Moana themed rooms are going to look great!

Festival Of The Lion King Is Back!

Festival Of The Lion King is a show located in Animal Kingdom that was closed due to the pandemic, but it reopened over the weekend!

Before the pandemic, you would sit in a large room with other people as you celebrate Simba.

Now of course, due to the pandemic, the show has physically distant guidelines. This is to make sure that the cast and you are all socially distant. This also means that you will not be seeing the tumble monkeys or the birds that fly above the stage.

You won’t see the birds now.

You have to be with your whole group before you can enter and be seated. Each group is split into groups with four people. Four people need to stand on each social distancing sticker when waiting outside.

I know that all these rules seem like a lot, but at least we can see the Festival Of The Lion King show again!

You No Longer Need To Wear A Face Mask Outside At Disney World!

Yes, you read that correctly! You no longer need to wear a face mask outside while at Disney World.

That doesn’t mean face masks are disappearing though. You are still required to wear a face mask when entering or leaving a ride, in all theaters, all transportation, and any indoor locations.

Are you going to Main Street Bakery? Remember to put your face mask on first.

Temperature checks are also no longer required when entering the parks, resorts, or Disney Springs! Now, all you have to do to get in the parks is scan your MagicBand or use Disney MagicMobile.

This is great news because as we get closer and closer to summer it would have been very hard to keep our masks on outside in the Florida heat.

Loki Has A New Release Date On Disney+

Loki was originally going to be on Disney+ on June 11th, but the release date of Loki has changed!

Loki will now come to Disney+ on June 9th. Instead of the release date being a Friday like it was for WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki will come to Disney+ on a Wednesday.

This is the Marvel show that I have been looking forward to the most because Loki is one of my favorite Marvel characters!
