Al’s Top 5 Favorite Roller Coasters in Disney World

I thought it would be cool to tell you guys my favorite roller coasters. So, this is how it went.

Beware of the Yeti!

5. Expedition Everest

I like Expedition Everest because it has a lot of stuff: a beautiful view, scary parts, and it is a smooth ride. I sit near the front most of the time because there is a part where you go backward! In that part, if you are in the back, you go down a drop, then, you go up so high, you feel like you are almost going upside down. After that, there is a forward drop that is even bigger! If you like scary rides, then you would like this one.

The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!

4. Big Thunder Mountain

Big Thunder Mountain is not a bad roller coaster; it is just a fun ride! It is “the wildest ride in the wilderness”! It has turns and drops, and almost anyone can ride and be happy when they get off the ride. It can also be repeated many times. There are two different tracks you can get! Big Thunder Mountain is next to water, too. When you get off the ride, make sure to get a picture with the water and the ride.

Here we go!

3. Slinky Dog Dash

Watch out for Slinky Dog Dash because it is “the wildest ride in Andy’s backyard!” Slinky Dog Dash might look like a fun and cute ride, but it is not. It has a drop that is 50 feet! It also gets to a speed of 40 miles per hour, but it does not go upside down. The track is very smooth though, and that helps it not be as scary. If you want to have a tour of Andy’s backyard and like to scream, then this ride is for you.

3…2…1…

2. Tron Lightcycle Run

Tron is a very cool ride that goes about 60 miles per hour! The only complaint about this ride is that it is only about two minutes. There is a part where you go outside that lasts about one minute. The ride also gives you a team color; it is always blue. Then you have to try to win a game with your team. The ride goes inside and goes through rings. If you get six rings before the orange, red, and yellow teams, you win! If you like competitions, you would like this roller coaster.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite ride in Disney World for a lot of reasons. You are in a ride vehicle with two in the front and two in the back of every escape pod. You can also repeat this ride many times because it plays different songs (from the 70s and 80s) each time you ride it! You also go backward in this ride and a picture is taken of you in your escape pod when you go backward. This ride is crazy, and at the end of the ride, you hear, “Welcome to the Guardians of the Galaxy,” because you helped save the world!

Honorable mentions:

Space Mountain and Seven Dwarf Mine Train

Space Mountain is an insane roller coaster in the dark with many drops and turns. Seven Dwarf Mine Train is a fast ride outside with a few fun songs to sing along, like, “Hi Ho”.

Those are my favorite roller coasters in Disney World. I hope you enjoyed this list!

The Best Things To Do In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a must go place if you are a big Star Wars fan!

It can be overwhelming to know what you should do in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so you can have the best experience possible. Today, I will be telling you what you should do in Galaxy’s Edge.

You definitely need to try blue milk! There is a milk stand located in Galaxy’s Edge that sells blue and green milk. The blue milk is actually pretty refreshing and the perfect thing to drink.

There are two rides in Galaxy’s Edge: Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I will talk about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance later. I would recommend riding Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.

On this ride, you get to board the Millennium Falcon and either be the pilot, engineer, or gunner. It is a really cool experience because you really feel like you are in the Millennium Falcon.

You can make your own lightsaber!

At Savi’s Workshop, you can choose all the parts for your lightsaber every step of the way. I made my own lightsaber and it was a lot of fun!

My lightsaber.

Now, I left the best for last. You HAVE to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! This is the best ride in all of Disney World and even non Star Wars fans will love it. Just trust me.

The Resistance needs your help to fight the First Order. At one point you even get captured by the First Order and have to walk through the ship!

I hope that this guide helps you have a great time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

ABC Commissary Review

ABC Commissary is a quick service in Hollywood Studios.

For those of you that do not know, a quick service means that you order your food ahead of time and then pick it up at one of the mobile order pick ups.

I am a big fan of quick services because you can order from the kids menu and you finish your food faster than if you went to a sit down restaurant.

I had the Pork Taco from the kids menu. The pork taco comes with Mexican rice and black beans. The black beans have queso fresco. The pork taco tasted bland and needed something else inside of it.

My mom had the Chicken Club Sandwich. The sandwich has marinated chicken, bacon, provolone, Avocado Ranch, lettuce, and tomato. She loved her sandwich.

My dad had the Chicken Salad Sandwich from the kids menu. It comes with a choice of two sides. He was glad that he ordered from the kids menu because he was not very hungry.

Al had the Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich from the kids menu. It comes with a choice of two sides. He liked his sandwich.

I give ABC Commissary 4 Mickey Bars! The food here is good, but nothing extraordinary.

A Beginner’s Guide To The Disney Skyliner

The Disney Skyliner lets you travel around Disney World from up in the sky!

The Disney Skyliner connects Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The Disney Skyliner Station at International Gateway at Epcot is also not far from Disney’s Boardwalk, entertainment district, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

I found the inside of the Skyliner to be pretty spacious, but keep in mind that it was only my dad, brother, and me who rode.

Here are some pictures of what you see from inside.

What I found really cool is how the Skyliner has Disney themed gondolas. You could get a gondola with a Disney character or something from a Disney attraction.

Would I recommend riding the Disney Skyliner? Absolutely! It is an experience unlike any other in Disney World.

A Look At Some Of The Disney 100 Merchandise

While in Hollywood Studios, I stopped inside one store to look at the Disney 100 merchandise that is available. I will be giving you a tour of some of the merchandise you can get.

You can get a Disney 100 Rubik’s Cube.

Rubik’s Cubes can be a lot of fun because they test your problem solving skills.

This Grape Cotton Candy sounds interesting!

This Loungefly Backpack is very cute! My favorite thing about this backpack is the zipper.

I really like this Minnie Mouse shirt.

Something I have noticed is that the Disney 100 merchandise has a purple and silver theme. Will you be buying any of this merchandise?

We Saw Something Unexpected While Walking To Hollywood Studios

On my last trip to Disney World, we stayed at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. That means that we were able to walk to Hollywood Studios from our resort.

You can take the Friendship Boat if you do not feel like walking.

We were walking and saw a big turtle!

I have never seen such a big turtle before, so I was in complete shock! When the turtle saw us, it started to hide its head.

Have you ever seen a turtle while walking to a Disney park?

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run Review

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is a ride in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that is full of adventure!

First, there is a pre show where Hondo Ohnaka tells you your mission.

Next, you will board the Millennium Falcon. You will be either a pilot, engineer, or gunner. The first time you ride this ride may be stressful because you might not know where buttons are or you might get confused.

I give this ride 3 Mickey Bars. I love the concept of Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, but the ride is either tons of fun or really upsetting. If you are assigned the position of pilot there is a lot of pressure on you because if you do not do well, you will not complete your mission. This can make the ride feel more like a chore and not very enjoyable.

My experience on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is not the same every time and there have been times where I really enjoyed it. I would say to ride it for yourself to see how you feel about Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.

The Best Things To Do In Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land is located in Hollywood Studios and is a popular area of the park.

Usually, Woody is standing next to the Toy Story Land sign. I guess today was his day off!

Slinky Dog Dash is a fun outdoor roller coaster in Toy Story Land.

What I love about Slinky Dog Dash is how you can see all of Toy Story Land while riding this ride. On our last Disney World trip, we were waiting in line and this happened!

On Toy Story Mania, you put on 3D glasses and shoot arrows, rings and other objects at lots of different targets.  Two people sit side by side on this ride.  The one who gets the most points wins.

A new restaurant called Roundup Rodeo BBQ opened in Toy Story Land in March of this year. While I have not been to this restaurant, I would recommend trying it. Why? At one point while you are eating, the Army men will tell you that there was an Andy sighting and everyone in the restaurant has to freeze until Andy passes by!

Alien Swirling Saucers is a spinning ride. This is the only spinning ride that I get on because Alien Swirling Saucers does not make me dizzy.

I hope that this list helps you have the best day at Toy Story Land!

This Happened While We Were Waiting In Line For Slinky Dog Dash

Slinky Dog Dash is a popular ride in Hollywood Studios.

Just like any other popular ride this means that the line can get long. We were waiting in line when the Green Army Men came!

They started playing a song on their drums and we were very lucky because they had happened to stop and play right in front of us!

It was a really cool experience. The line that day had been really long and we had been waiting outside for a long time, so seeing the Green Army Men made the wait in line not as bad!
