The Best Things To Do In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a must go place if you are a big Star Wars fan!

It can be overwhelming to know what you should do in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so you can have the best experience possible. Today, I will be telling you what you should do in Galaxy’s Edge.

You definitely need to try blue milk! There is a milk stand located in Galaxy’s Edge that sells blue and green milk. The blue milk is actually pretty refreshing and the perfect thing to drink.

There are two rides in Galaxy’s Edge: Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I will talk about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance later. I would recommend riding Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.

On this ride, you get to board the Millennium Falcon and either be the pilot, engineer, or gunner. It is a really cool experience because you really feel like you are in the Millennium Falcon.

You can make your own lightsaber!

At Savi’s Workshop, you can choose all the parts for your lightsaber every step of the way. I made my own lightsaber and it was a lot of fun!

My lightsaber.

Now, I left the best for last. You HAVE to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! This is the best ride in all of Disney World and even non Star Wars fans will love it. Just trust me.

The Resistance needs your help to fight the First Order. At one point you even get captured by the First Order and have to walk through the ship!

I hope that this guide helps you have a great time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run Review

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is a ride in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that is full of adventure!

First, there is a pre show where Hondo Ohnaka tells you your mission.

Next, you will board the Millennium Falcon. You will be either a pilot, engineer, or gunner. The first time you ride this ride may be stressful because you might not know where buttons are or you might get confused.

I give this ride 3 Mickey Bars. I love the concept of Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, but the ride is either tons of fun or really upsetting. If you are assigned the position of pilot there is a lot of pressure on you because if you do not do well, you will not complete your mission. This can make the ride feel more like a chore and not very enjoyable.

My experience on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is not the same every time and there have been times where I really enjoyed it. I would say to ride it for yourself to see how you feel about Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.

This Is The Coolest Ride In Disney World!

You read the title and now you are probably wondering, what is the coolest ride in Disney World? I am talking about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

The Resistance needs your help to fight the First Order. First, you will walk into this large room where you will find BB-8.

Then, a hologram of Rey will appear and she will tell you about your mission.

You will then board a transport to help the Resistance fight Kylo Ren. The transport that you board is a motion simulator that only has room to stand. The transport is being piloted by Liuetenant Bek.

Unfortunately, you will get caught by the First Order.

Now this is my favorite part! The doors to the transport open and you find yourself in front of tons of stormtroopers!

Make sure to take pictures as quickly as you can before moving on to the next room because this room is truly incredible! The stormtroopers heads even move.

You will then go to a prison cell where you are interrogated by General Hux and Kylo Ren.

Luckily, the Resistance comes and frees you! You then go to an escape pod, which is the ride vehicle.

The escape pod will travel around the ship and you will even almost get caught by Kylo Ren.

Oh no!

A Resistance Tie Fighter saves you and at the end of the ride there is a little drop.

This ride looks amazing and it is really a one a kind ride!

I Tried Blue Milk In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

When you are in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there are many things you have to try and one of them is trying blue milk!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

There is a milk stand located in Galaxy’s Edge where you can get blue and green milk.

We also bought a Sprite. What is really cool about the container of the Sprite is that the name is written in Aurebesh, the Star Wars written language!

We bought the blue milk, not the green milk. (The blue milk and the green milk are the same flavor.) I was not sure what blue milk was going to taste like, but I actually really liked it. It has a fruit flavor to it.

If you are a Star Wars fan, then I would recommend trying Blue Milk in Galaxy’s Edge. It’s a once in a lifetime experience and when is the next time you are going to drink Blue Milk?

Hollywood Studios FastPass+ Tiers Change Again

FastPass+ tiers will be changing again on February 14th.

I have talked about tiers before back in June and you can look at the post here!

Just as a reminder Tier 1 is for the popular attractions and Tier 2 is for the not as popular attractions. Tiers make it easier to ride popular rides with a minimal wait time. When you reserve Fastpasses, you can get one Fastpass from Tier 1 and two Fastpasses from Tier 2.

Alien Swirling Saucers!

Now you can use Tier 1 on Slinky Dog Dash and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. Slinky Dog Dash should be your top priority, since this ride has the longest lines, while Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in Galaxy’s Edge is now second priority.

Slinky Dog Dash!

This is going to be really helpful because now you don’t need to wait as long in line as before.

Tier 2 is also split into categories. Your top priority for getting a Fastpass+ should be for Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, since those rides have long lines.

Muppet Vision 3D!!

Second priority is for Toy Story Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, MuppetVision 3D, Disney Junior Dance Party, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, Fantasmic!, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, Star Tours, and Frozen Sing Along. That is a lot of rides!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid!

I hope this helps you with Fastpasses at Hollywood Studios.

A Year In Review: Everything New That Happened In Disney World Part Two

This is part two for everything new that happened in Disney World this year.

On August 12, 2019 the NBA Experience opened in Disney Springs. The NBA Experience is where you can do hands on activities in basketball. If you are a big fan of basketball you will love the NBA Experience! If you would like to learn more about the NBA Experience click here!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in Hollywood Studios on August 29, 2019. It is supposed to transform you into the world of Star Wars with themed restaurants and rides. You can even build your own droid or lightsaber! If you would like to learn more about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge click here!

In the fall, the Disney Skyliner opened! It is a transportation network in the sky. The Skyliner takes you from Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and the Disney Riviera Resort to the International Gateway at Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

The Disney Skyliner!

On November 12, Disney+ launched. Disney+ is a new streaming service where you get to watch your favorite Disney movies and shows without commercials. They have Disney+ original shows and movies as well as Disney movies and shows. If you want to see what shows I recommend to watch (and one movie for the holidays) click here!

Hopefully more changes will come in 2020!

How Disney Stays Ahead Of Its Competition

Disney does have competition and I will tell you how they stay ahead of their competition.

First off, it’s Disney’s merchandise. They always have merchandise for special events like Christmas or Halloween.

Disney also has different collections so if you have, for example, an Imagination Pink Loungefly backpack then you probably want to match with the same color pink hat, shirt, and water bottle.

The Imagination Pink collection!

The merchandise is really expensive and Disney is making a lot of money because they have the merchandise in different colors.

The Rose Gold Collection!

Another way Disney is ahead is the Cast Members. The Cast Members (the people who work in Disney World) are always friendly and in a good mood. This is not the case in other amusement parks. In Universal they have friendly people too but besides Disney World and Universal other amusement parks just do not have very friendly people. The people that work at other amusement parks always look annoyed and like they don’t want to be there. Friendly cast members are very important because if a person has a good interaction with a cast member then they will want to come back to Disney World or Universal.

Disney is also constantly updating its parks by adding new rides. If, for example, you’re a big Star Wars fan then you probably want to go to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Then you will make the long journey to Disney World and Disney gets a lot of money! While we are on the topic, Rise of the Resistance opened on December 5.

Other rides that are coming are Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Train in the spring of 2020 in Hollywood Studios, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming next summer in the France pavilion, and Beauty and the Beast Sing Along debuts January 2020.

These are a few ways that Disney stays ahead of its competition.

Disney Has Finally Announced When Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is Opening!

Finally Walt Disney World has announced when Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open in Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.

In Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance you will get to experience a battle between the Resistance and First Order. You will be asked to join General Leia Organa and Rey too. You will also get captured by the First Order.

This is so exciting!

Just as a reminder Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disney World on August 29. It is already open in Disneyland.

Now for the moment you have been waiting for: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens in Disney World on December 5. Walt Disney’s birthday! It will open in Disneyland on January 17, 2020.

A Beginner’s Guide to March of the First Order

March of the First Order is basically when the stormtroopers from Star Wars, led by Captain Phasma, march around Hollywood Studios.

During other parts of the day, I enjoy when the stormtroopers walk by and talk to you. They sometimes say things like, “There is no order without the First Order!”

While the stormtroopers and Captain Phasma walk by, scary First Order music plays. They march around several times a day.

I just found out that the March of the First Order is no longer going on at Hollywood Studios and the stormtroopers are being moved to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Below is a video of March of the First Order from one of our trips.
